Dipsikha’s Account of the Devastation: “What If I Had Gone to the Hostel to Collect My Belongings That Day?”

On Bhadra 10, 2083 BS, we were in our classroom. Everything was going on normally, and our Biology teacher was teaching us. Since we had a Physics examination afterward, the teacher left the classroom saying, “You have an exam next, so study.” He then left.

As soon as the teacher stepped out, there was sudden commotion outside. People were shouting, “The flood has come!” Students from the classroom next to ours, where Business Studies was being taught, began running out. Since the Science section usually finished classes later and we also had an examination afterward, we did not take the situation very seriously. We remained in the classroom.
