Artificial Lake Breach in Tibet Triggers Flood Alert in Nepal

Rasauwa. Information has been received that the artificial lake (dam) blocked by a landslide on the Tibetan side of the Nepal-China border area has burst again, and high alert has been adopted in the riverine areas of Nepal.

The Nepal Police has issued a public notice and warned that a serious flood threat has arisen in the lower coastal areas of Nepal after the dam formed in the upper area of China's Jirong border crossing burst and a large flow of water started to flow downwards.
