Department of Hydrology and Meteorology Forecasts Extreme Heat in Western Terai, Rain in Other Areas

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology on Friday released a city-centric weather forecast, stating that extreme heat will increase in the western Terai.

Releasing the forecast, the department said, 'There is a possibility of temperature increase in the Terai regions of Sudurpashchim and Lumbini provinces today afternoon.' Although a heatwave is expected in the Terai, rain with thunderstorms is forecast in many other places across the country.
