Army Continues Tunnel Search Until Breakthrough

Kathmandu. The Nepali Army has stated that the search for hydropower project tunnels will continue until they are 'breakthrough'. Speaking at a press conference held at the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority in Singhdarbar on Monday, Army Brigadier General Subasjang Thapa said, "The search will continue until the tunnels are broken through."
The Nepali Army, Armed Police Force, and foreign rescuers are jointly conducting search and rescue operations in the tunnels of hydropower projects in Rasuwa and Nuwakot, which were damaged by the Bhote Koshi flood. Brigadier General Thapa informed that the search and rescue will continue until all tunnels are 'breakthrough', unless the government decides otherwise.
