489 Dead in Bhote Koshi Flood, India Supplies Body Bags

Kathmandu. Due to the increased flow in the Lhende River coming from Tibet, China, 489 people have died so far due to the flood in Bhote Koshi. Rescue workers from the army, police, and armed police are collecting the bodies brought by the Bhote Koshi from the riverine areas.
Bodies have been found on the river banks of Nuwakot, Dhading, Chitwan, Gorkha, Nawalparasi East, Tanahu, and West Nawalparasi. The government is facing a shortage of sufficient bags to collect the bodies of those who died in the flood. Due to the lack of bags used for packing bodies, the government has imported bags from India.
