5 Killed in Israeli Strikes in Southern Lebanon Amidst Ceasefire Uncertainty

Beirut. Five people were killed in fresh Israeli attacks in the southern region of Lebanon on Saturday, state media reported. The attack occurred just a day after a new ceasefire was announced between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah.

According to the state-run National News Agency (NNA), Israeli airstrikes occurred in more than a dozen locations, including the Nabatieh region of southern Lebanon, from midnight until Saturday morning. Shelling from artillery was also reported in the area.
