Man's Eye Socket Found With 12cm Maple Branch Fragment

Moscow. A 50-year-old man in Russia has a 12-centimeter long piece of branch fragment found in his eye socket. The name of the victim is Yuri. He is a resident of Rilsk city. In 2024, he was trimming a maple branch in his garden. Suddenly he felt a sharp pain in his left eye. At that time, he was not wearing glasses to protect his eye. He did not pay much attention, thinking that a piece of wood had entered his eye.

After some time, when the pain subsided, he forgot about the incident, thinking it was not serious. However, even after that, he continued to experience pain and discomfort in his left eye from time to time. Despite seeing various eye doctors, the clear cause of the pain could not be found. Nor did the treatment have any significant effect. In recent months, his condition worsened—the pain became unbearable and his left eye's vision also started to weaken. Some time ago, he was admitted to Kursk Regional Hospital.
