Internet Providers Seek 15-Day Extension for Cable Management

Kathmandu. The Internet Service Providers' Association Nepal (ISPAN) has requested a final 15-day extension to complete the management of tangled, dangling, and unused internet, telephone, and cable wires on electricity poles in the Kathmandu Valley within the stipulated deadline.

At a meeting of stakeholders held today at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, ISPAN stated that more time is needed to complete the work. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Nepal Telecommunications Authority, Nepal Telecom, ISPAN, and other relevant bodies.
