Eleven Arrested for Gambling in Bharatpur, Chitwan

Kathmandu. Police have arrested 11 people from Bharatpur Metropolitan City Ward No.-10 in Chitwan while they were gambling. On Saturday evening, gamblers were arrested while playing cards at the 'Vikalpa Khaja Ghar' operated by Kamal Bahadur Neupane, a resident of Tanahun, located behind Ashtbhuja Petrol Pump. SP Ram Eswor Poudel of Chitwan told Ratopati that Rs 71,515 in cash was recovered from the gambling den. Among those arrested are accused including Manoj Poudel, 40, residing in Kandel Chowk. Poudel is a district committee member of Rastriya Swatantra Party in Chitwan. Among those arrested are Khaja Ghar operator Kamal Bahadur Neupane, Dhruva Koirala residing in Bharatpur-7, Rabin Kafle residing in Bharatpur-9, Suresh Khanal, Chiran Tiwari, Manoj Subedi, Birendra Giri, Naveen Joshi, Amit Koirala, and 50-year-old Moti Sharma, including Poudel. The District Police Office, Chitwan is investigating the arrested accused.
