Nepal Medical Association Demands Government Action for Striking Intern Doctor

Kathmandu. The Nepal Medical Association has demanded that the government save the life of intern doctor Dilli Harijan, who is on a hunger strike. Harijan has been on strike since July 19 with various demands including remuneration and respect for labor.
Issuing a press release on July 20, the association announced its full support for the demands of the striking doctor. Harijan has put forward the main demand of receiving equal remuneration for equal work. Similarly, his demand is that the recommendations given by the previously formed task force on the issue of intern doctors should be implemented immediately. The association has supported all these demands.
