Truck Transport Federation Demands Revision of Fine Provisions in Public Road Bill

Kathmandu. The Federation of Nepal Truck Transportation Entrepreneurs has drawn attention to some provisions of the 'Bill to Manage Public Roads' presented in the House of Representatives and demanded that the government amend the fine-related provisions.

Federation Chairman Rajendra Bikram Baniya stated that the Federation is positive about the provisions aimed at establishing good governance on public roads, reducing road accidents, and controlling overloading. According to him, the provisions included in the bill regarding weight limits, mandatory weight testing through weighbridges, and protection of road structures are necessary and welcome.
