Localities Demand 970 New Police Units Nationwide

Kathmandu. Locals across the country have demanded the establishment of new police units for security. Police spokesperson (DIG) Abinarayan Kafle informed that there is a demand for police units in 970 places nationwide. He said at a press conference organized at the Police Headquarters on Friday - 'To establish the demanded units, we need 17,100 manpower.'

The police have established temporary police posts in 751 places and temporary traffic police posts in 606 places across the country. DIG Kafle stated that there is a need to upgrade the level of 461 operational units.
