Rastriya Prajatantra Party MP Tahir Ali Bhat Calls Government's Land Distribution Propaganda a Stunt

Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) MP Tahir Ali Bhat has termed the government's propaganda of distributing land to the landless as a stunt. Speaking in the House of Representatives meeting on Monday, MP Bhat, citing the example of Rohini Rural Municipality in Rupandehi district, said that false propaganda is being spread that land in the village block, which has been in possession for years, has been distributed to the landless.

MP Bhat clarified that the land ownership certificates recently distributed in Rupandehi were given not to the landless but to residents of the village block and village dhuri. ‘There are lands belonging to everyone from landlords to the poor there, which distribution had started two years ago,’ he said, ‘The current government is widely publicizing this as a great achievement, claiming to have distributed land to the landless, which is a complete lie.’
