Ward Chairman and Another Arrested in Rautahat Motorcycle Accident Investigation

Rautahat. During the investigation of a motorcycle accident in Maulapur, Rautahat, the police have arrested two people, including a ward chairman. The arrested are Ward Chairman Mahesh Mahato Koiri of Maulapur Municipality-3 and 28-year-old Trikishor Kushwaha of the same place. Two motorcycles collided head-on on the Maulapur-Jaynagar road near the electricity office in Maulapur Municipality-3 on June 6 last year at around 1:40 PM. The accident occurred between the motorcycle with number Na.25 Pa 1225, driven by Ward Chairman Mahesh Mahato Koiri, and the motorcycle with number Pradesh 2-03-007 Pa 6665, driven by Trikishor Kushwaha. In the accident, 20-year-old Neeraj Kushwaha, who was riding pillion on the motorcycle driven by Trikishor Kushwaha, was seriously injured. He died during treatment on the morning of January 17, 2082, at 10:30 AM. During the investigation of the said vehicle-life case, both motorcycle drivers were taken into police custody on August 25, 2083. Police said that further investigation into the incident is underway.
