Koshi Province Congress Faces Internal Strife Over Government Stance

Biratnagar. Intense anger and dissatisfaction are brewing within the Nepali Congress as the party has not convened meetings of its parliamentary party and provincial committee, even after a change in the government equation in Koshi Province has created a new political situation.

Himal Karki, the deputy leader of the Nepali Congress's parliamentary party in Koshi Province, has expressed anger over the working style of Uddhav Thapa, the party's Koshi Province chairman and leader of the parliamentary party. Karki accuses Thapa of holding the party hostage in indecision by not calling meetings.
