Priest and Others Charged in Land Grabbing Case

Kathmandu. The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a charge sheet at the Special Court Kathmandu against the priest of Shri Narsingh Bhagwan Temple in Dharan, Sunsari, and others for transferring and selling public land worth more than 3.6 million rupees in the name of the temple to individuals.

Investigation has revealed that a total of 10 kaththa 5 dhur of land, including 5 kaththa 7 dhur of plot number 1 and 4 kaththa 18 dhur of plot number 4, located in the area where the former Bhadgaun Sinwari was merged, in ward no. 14 of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City, Sunsari, was illegally seized.
