Journalist Shrestha’s detention extended for three days

Kathmandu, Aug 13: Detention of journalist Kishor Shrestha, arrested on charge of breach of individual privacy, has been extended for three days.
Editor of the Janaastha Weekly, Shrestha, was arrested on Wednesday night. Kathmandu District Court allowed Nepal Police to continue investigation on Shrestha by keeping him in detention for three more days, according to spokesperson at Kathmandu District Police Office, Dan Bahadur Thapa. “We received permission from the court for investigation with extension of detention,” he added.
