Government to Provide Relief to Rolpa Landslide Victims

Kathmandu. The government has decided to provide relief and financial assistance to the landslide victims in two rural municipalities of Rolpa. The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has announced immediate relief to the landslide victims of Ketalbara, Thawang Rural Municipality-5, and Phalbaang and Gichche, Sunchhahar Rural Municipality-2.

Spokesperson (Joint Secretary) Hemraj Aryal of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers issued a statement informing that financial assistance will be provided to the families of the deceased, and immediate relief to the families of the missing and those whose houses were damaged. Joint Secretary Aryal stated that assistance related to temporary housing and reconstruction of private houses will be provided to those who have been displaced by the landslide.
