Colombia Earthquake Claims 287 Lives, 400 Missing

Colombia. In Colombia, the death toll from the devastating earthquake that struck last Monday has reached 287, with about 400 still missing.

Colombian officials said more than two-thirds of the deaths occurred in the cities of Cali and Pereira. With more than half of the injured in major urban centers, officials said rescue teams in Pereira have been deployed to rescue four people trapped under the rubble of a damaged hotel.
