Tanahun Forms Task Force for Effective Gas Distribution Monitoring

Damauli. A rapid response team has been formed under the convenership of Assistant Chief District Officer Deepak Regmi for the effective monitoring and inspection of the gas distribution system in Tanahun. The team formed by the District Administration Office will include Regmi, a representative of the Nepal Police, a representative of the Federation of Industry and Commerce, Tanahun, and a representative of the relevant local level as members, while a representative of the Integrated Service Office, Tanahun, will be the member secretary. Chief District Officer Shivlal Tiwari said that the team will regularly conduct surprise inspections of the gas distribution system and inspect the target areas based on complaints. In case of serious negligence or violation of law during the inspection, the gas storage will be sealed, excess stock will be returned, registration books and records will be checked, and fines will be imposed according to the prevailing law. The District Administration Office has also implemented a new system to make gas distribution systematic and transparent. The administration has implemented a system where only one cylinder of gas can be distributed to a family at a time and has tightened control over transactions from dealers to retailers.
