Tribhuvan University Students Complain About Day-Session Classes

Kathmandu. Students studying at Tribhuvan University Central Campus have complained about the inconvenience caused by classes being conducted only in the day session in most departments. Students studying at the Central Campus said that the compulsion to attend classes during the day session makes it difficult to engage in employment, internships, research, skill development, and other professional activities.

Tribhuvan University Central Campus student Sabin Pokharel said that the compulsion to attend classes during the day session creates a situation where they might have to drop out of studies. He said, 'I am currently studying in the second semester of the postgraduate level. In the semester system, 80 percent attendance is mandatory. Money does not come from home. I have not been able to connect with employment. If classes were held in the morning or evening instead of the afternoon, I could have connected with employment.'
