Health Insurance Board Launches Online Family Registration

Kathmandu. The Health Insurance Board has made the new family registration process completely online with the objective of providing easy access to health services for citizens. Now, the compulsion for the general public to go to government offices and stand in long queues to join health insurance has been removed.

Service recipients can easily proceed with the new registration process by visiting the board's official web portal (eportal.hib.gov.np) through their own mobile or computer or by scanning the QR code. Before starting the registration process, service recipients must keep their necessary details ready, such as – current mobile number, national identity card number or date of birth, details of family members, proof of relationship, and migration document (if required).
