Most quake-damaged heritage rebuilt but experts rue over quality of structures

Kathmandu, Aug. 16: The 2015 Barpak-Gorkha earthquake destroyed many heritage sites within seconds. Structures that had stood proudly for generations, carrying the weight of history were reduced to debris within minutes. Bricks came apart, unique and rich carved wooden windows broke and statues of the temples were disfigured.
