Japanese encephalitis cases on rise in Jhapa

Bhadrapur (Jhapa), August 16

The onset of the rainy season in Jhapa has led to an increase in Japanese encephalitis (JE) cases, with a recent report confirming a new infection in Mechinagar. The total number of infections so far has reached 10 in the district. Five individuals have succumbed to the disease, including three men and two women.
