Congress National Gathering Passes Proposal to Make Sanatana Dharma National Identity

Kathmandu. The 3-day national gathering of the Nepali Congress has passed a special proposal to make Nepal's Sanatana Dharma and culture the main basis of national identity. The gathering, which concluded on Sunday in Sukedhara, expressed a commitment to strengthen the country's original religious and cultural foundation.

The proposal passed by the gathering states, 'The Sanatana Dharma and culture that has been followed since ancient times in Nepal is also our national identity. The Congress will remain committed to advancing Sanatana Dharma as the national identity, ensuring religious tolerance, social harmony, and the right of every individual and religious community to practice their own religion.'
