Gelsenkirchen. With goals from Kylian Mbappe, Dean Huijsen and Carlos Espi, Real Madrid defeated Schalke 3-0 in their final pre-season friendly match. With the victory, Madrid remained unbeaten in all four pre-season games under the leadership of new coach Jose Mourinho.

In the match held in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, Mbappe gave Madrid the lead in the fifth minute by taking advantage of a defensive error. Fifteen minutes later, Huijsen doubled the lead with a header from Arda Guler's pass.
