Koshi Province Government Expansion Today

Morang. The Koshi Province government is being expanded today according to a three-point agreement reached between the CPN-UML and the Communist Party of Nepal in the first week of Shrawan. Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki has made preparations to expand the government as soon as the names of the ministers to participate in the government are received. The program to administer the oath of office to the new ministers has been scheduled for 3 PM. As per the agreement, it has been confirmed that the Communist Party of Nepal will receive four ministries, but the specific ministries to be allocated have been kept secret. According to sources, the Communist Party of Nepal is likely to lead the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, the Ministry of Tourism, and one ministry from Health or Agriculture. After the ministers who participated in the government from the alliance of CPN-UML and Nepali Congress resigned and left on Shrawan 25, the ministries held by the Congress are now held by Chief Minister Karki himself. The names of the ministers to participate in the government from the Communist Party of Nepal have not yet been finalized. However, sources have indicated that there is a possibility of Jivan Acharya, Gombu Sherpa, Khinu Limbu, and one person among Rajan Kirati and Durga Chapagain joining the government from the Communist Party of Nepal.
