Kathmandu, Aug. 17: The Members of Parliament (MPs) in today’s House of Representatives (HoR) meeting suggested the government to remove the term ‘prostitution’ from the Bill to Amend the Human Trafficking and Transportation (Control) Act, stating that the laws should have respectful language towards women.
Taking part in the theoretical discussions on the bill tabled by Minister for Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities and Social Security Sita Badi in today’s HoR meeting, the lawmakers called for victim-centric laws.
