Iran Revolutionary Guards Deputy Political Commander: Strait of Hormuz Opening Dependent on US Fulfilling 'Islamabad Agreement'

KATHMANDU. Deputy Political Commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guards Yadollah Javani has stated that the current war must end based on the 'Islamabad Agreement'. He clarified, saying, 'The Strait of Hormuz will open only after the United States fulfills its responsibilities under this agreement.'

According to BBC Persian, in an interview given to the 'Young Journalists Club' affiliated with the Islamic Republic Radio and Television, Javani claimed that the Strait of Hormuz and the arrangements controlling it will never be the same as before the war. He stated that although the US, Israel, and their allies have been trying to establish control over this waterway for the past few months, they have not succeeded.
