House of Representatives Meeting Today

Kathmandu. The meeting of the Federal Parliament, House of Representatives is convening today. In the meeting to be held at 11:00 AM in Singhdarbar, the concerned ministers will answer oral questions related to four different ministries. The agenda of the meeting includes the ministers of Foreign Affairs, Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, and Agriculture, Forest and Environment answering oral questions related to their respective ministries. Similarly, on behalf of Prime Minister Balen Shah, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Sobita Gautam will present the seventh annual report of the Tharu Commission (July 2024 - June 2025). Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal will present the proposal 'Consideration of the Passport (First Amendment) Bill, 2027'. Similarly, Law Minister Gautam will present the proposed 'Consideration of the Mediation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2027'. Law Minister Gautam will also present the 'Agreement relating to the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea'. Today, meetings of five parliamentary committees are also scheduled. According to the details received, the meetings of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, Infrastructure Development Committee, Legislation Management Committee, Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee, and Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns Committee are being held.
