Education Ministry Issues 3-Point Directive on Teacher Transfers

Kathmandu. The Teacher Management Coordination Division, under the Ministry of Education, has issued a 3-point directive regarding teacher transfers. The division, located in Bhaktapur, sent a letter to local levels across the country on Monday, instructing them not to fill vacant positions through inter-district or inter-local level transfers for permanent recruitment sought by the Teachers Service Commission. Furthermore, the division stated that for local levels with surplus staff positions, transfers should be made to fill these surplus positions. Additionally, for candidates who have applied for promotion based on 75 percent performance evaluation, local levels have been directed not to provide consent for transfers until the promotion results are obtained.
