Bishwakarma Pooja is celebrated on the 1st of Asoj, i.e. in the form of worship of Baba Bishwakarma, a scholar of construction and technology production and study. Today, the followers of the Vedic Sanatan Hindu religion worship in honor of Baba Bishwakarma in this Bishwakarma Pooja.

Baba is a craft expert for the gods and is the builder of the buildings of each deity, the craftsman of weapons, and the creator and maker of vehicles. According to the scriptures, Bishwakarma was the son of Brahma, who had five sons and an only daughter. His only daughter Sandhya was married to Lord Surya, the owner of global energy and natural resources of heat. Baba is the inspiration for handicrafts, craftsmen, artisans, and thousands of material creations. Even in today's modern age, most of the garages, factories, manufacturing technology sites and various workplaces active in various metal works in Nepal are decorated and commemorated in honor of the technology and many construction practices and innovations he introduced since the Vedic period. In Bishwakarma Baba's worship, it is customary to set up an idol of Baba and worship it on that day and to ritually integrate that idol in rivers, lakes, and ponds the next day.

What is Surya sasthi?
It is customary to fast on Sasthi Tithi from the Sukla Paksha of the month of Bhadra and commemorate this day in the name of the Sun God. This date is called Surya Shashthi. The Sun is the most powerful, bright, and vast thing that human beings can see from the earth and humans have ever seen from their planet.
What people do today?
Nothing is possible in this world without the sun. It is the custom of the devotees to chant the Gayatri mantra and fast this morning at the behest of the creator of every creation. It is said that if one fast on this day, one will obtain wealth, children, prosperity, and boons equivalent to Ashwamegh Yajna.
It is also said in the verses of Bhavishyapurana quoted in the Kalparutagrantha that on the day of Bhadrashukla Shashthi, one who sees Lord Skandha enthroned in Dakshinapadha is freed from sins like Brahmahatya, etc.
Early morning devotees go to nearby rivers or lakes and take a dip, organize worship on the water bank and acknowledge the presence of the sun on the planet.
It is necessary to chant the Surya Mantra, chant this powerful mantra 108 times, absorb the energy of the mantra, and express the influence of the Sun in asceticism.

It is mentioned in the Wastu Bidhya that if the architecture is constructed by determining the location and direction of natural greatness, Panchamahabhuta sky, air, fire, earth, and water, then prosperity, health, and all welfare will be achieved from it. Today, more people are interested in architecture than in the past. It has become relevant to make the house building strong and beautiful and to get material comforts. At the same time, the day has been spreading public awareness to create a disaster-resistant house and make it a lifelong home.

The government started celebrating National Science Day on Asoj 1, 2070 BS. The then Prime Minister Dr. The joint government formed under the leadership of Baburam Bhattarai decided to celebrate National Science Day from 2070 BS. Some of its objectives are specified.
For example, to mobilize individuals and organizations from all sections, communities, and professional sectors of the country to contribute to the field of science and technology and to raise public awareness of science and technology. Similarly, to create an environment in which policymakers from the grassroots play an active role in this process and to work for awareness and campaign-oriented work. In this context, the 'Science-Culture for Prosperity' program is envisaged.
In 1918 AD, modern science and technology education was started in Nepal from Tri Chandra College. The university was established 31 years later. After this, diversity became institutionalized in both education and research. The role played by TU in the faculties and thematic disciplines including Science and Technology, Medicine, Agriculture, and Animal Science, Forest Science, Engineering, Sociology, Geology, Anthropology, Management, Education, Law, and Humanities is remarkable.
According to a survey of the state of science and technology conducted by the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) in 2066-67 BS, the government of Nepal has invested 0.38 percent of the gross domestic product. Experts have suggested maintaining it at 1 percent.
Let's create an environment to invest 1 percent of GDP in research and development. Let's dig mines. Let's encourage research-directed markets and industries. Established in 2019 by the Seventy-second World Health Assembly through the adoption of resolution WHA72.6 – “Global action on patient safety” – this day is observed annually on 17 September. It is a pivotal event to promote global health and safety, firmly grounded in the core medical principle: “first, do no harm.” The day aims to raise public awareness, enhance global understanding, and foster solidarity and action among Member States to promote patient safety.
The World Patient Safety Day is a campaign for all stakeholders in the health care system to work together and share engagement to improve patient safety.
