Nepal measures land in two traditional systems. The hills and the Kathmandu valley use Ropani, Aana, Paisa and Daam, where 1 Ropani = 16 Aana = 64 Paisa = 256 Daam = 5,476 square feet. The Terai uses Bigha, Kattha and Dhur, where 1 Bigha = 20 Kattha = 400 Dhur = 72,900 square feet — about 13.31 Ropani.
