Kathmandu. US President Donald Trump's recent claim regarding the moon has once again brought the old debate of ownership and rights in space to the surface. Trump had posted a picture of the moon on his social media 'Truth Social' on Sunday, with the message 'The Moon is Ours'. The American flag was also shown in the picture.

Along with Trump's statement, another interesting question has arisen: If no country can claim ownership of the moon, how are people claiming to have bought land on the moon? Various companies have been selling certificates and so-called 'ownership' documents in the name of lunar land.
