Biratnagar. The Janji rebellion, which began with loud slogans against good governance and corruption, became very intense on August 23 and 24 last year. More than 76 protesters lost their lives across the country and hundreds were injured. Important structures of the country were destroyed. Many structures including Singha Durbar, Supreme Court, Parliament Building were burnt.
In Koshi Province too, the Chief Minister's Office, Province Assembly, and ministries were damaged, and about a dozen youths lost their lives in Itahari and Birtamod.
