Kathmandu. With the major festivals of Nepalis approaching, the natural disaster that has occurred is likely to have a serious impact on the supply of daily necessities. Drawing serious attention to the inconvenient situation created by the flood in the Bhote Koshi river and the obstruction of the road at Krishnabhir on the Prithvi Highway, the Consumer Awareness Campaign-Nepal has strongly demanded effective market regulation and smooth supply of goods and services from the Government of Nepal.
The fifth annual general meeting and third national convention of the Consumer Awareness Campaign-Nepal, held in Lokanthali, Bhaktapur, prioritized this very issue and passed an important resolution. The convention, attended by former Chief Information Commissioner and former Secretary of the Government of Nepal, Krishna Hari Baskota, as the chief guest, urged the government to take strict action to prevent black marketing, artificial shortages, and unfair trade practices that may occur during the festival season.
