Nepali Migrant in Dubai Cancels Trip Home, Donates Airfare Savings to Flood Victims

Dubai. A Nepali migrant woman working in Dubai has canceled her long-planned trip home and donated the money saved for airfare to flood victims in Nepal.

43-year-old Shanti Kumari Bhandari had planned to go to Nepal this year for Dashain and Tihar. Working as a double-decker tourist bus driver in the UAE, she had not been able to go to Nepal since 2021. However, after seeing videos and news of the devastation caused by floods and landslides in Nepal, she decided to postpone her trip and give the money to the victims.
