US Diplomat Megan Boldin Assumes Charge as Acting Ambassador to Nepal

Kathmandu. Senior diplomat of the US Foreign Service, Megan Boldin, will assume the responsibility of Acting Ambassador to the US Embassy in Nepal.

The US Embassy welcomed her to Kathmandu, stating that she will lead the US diplomatic mission in Nepal for some time. Boldin was previously in an important role at the US Embassy in Bangladesh. In 2024, she was working as the Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Dhaka. During that time, she represented the US Embassy in various programs related to Bangladesh's security, humanitarian assistance, and bilateral relations. She has also previously held the responsibility of Acting Ambassador (Chargé d'Affaires) in Dhaka.
