Destroyed roads have left communities in Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts reliant on helicopters, drones and temporary crossings.

Mansing Tamang, ward chairman of Uttargaya-4 in the flood-hit Rasuwa district, has been waiting in Dhunche for three days for a helicopter to take 250 sacks of rice and other relief supplies to Mailung and nearby settlements.
