Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden States Unification Process with RPP Nepal Cannot Proceed

Kathmandu. The unification process between Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and RPP Nepal has reached a stage where it cannot be advanced further, stated RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden. On Thursday, Chairman Lingden summoned RPP central members available in the valley to the party office in Dhumbaraahi and informed them about the technical, legal, and political complexities observed in the unification process. RPP central member Janakraj Pathak stated that Chairman Lingden informed that the unification process with RPP Nepal led by Kamal Thapa has reached a situation where it cannot be advanced immediately. Pathak said, 'The Chairman has informed that it appears the unification process cannot be advanced in the current situation.' Lingden had stated that the unification process has become difficult to advance, especially because RPP Nepal still legally exists in the Election Commission and some technical and legal complexities have arisen. It is said that Thapa had become displeased after he started giving statements challenging the leadership recently. Specifically, during the formation of the Bagmati government, Kamal Thapa had supported when provincial assembly members challenged Lingden's decision. According to sources, a central working committee meeting of RPP has been called for today itself. It is said that this matter will also be discussed in that meeting.
