Actor Dayahang Rai Says 'Pension Patta' is a Story of Society, Not Just Soldiers

Kathmandu. Actor Dayahang Rai has said that 'Pension Patta' is not just a story of soldiers. He said that although the film closely shows the life of a soldier's family, intergenerational relationships, love, relationships, and responsibilities, it is a story of the general society.

"The stories of the bravery and success of the Gurkha community are often heard in Nepali society. However, the stories of the ups and downs in their family life after retirement, the problems related to pension, and the impact it has on family and relationships have rarely been brought to the screen," Rai said. "This aspect attracted me to 'Pension Patta'." Dayahang shares that while many films tell stories of the bravery and success of soldiers, this film is the first to highlight the problems that arise in a soldier's family after retirement and the situations created due to pension.
