Impeachment Demand Against Supreme Court Justice and CIAA Chief Rejected by Parliament Secretariat

Kathmandu. A letter has reached the Federal Parliament Secretariat demanding impeachment against Supreme Court Justice Kumar Regmi and Chief of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Prem Rai. Shankar Rajak sent the letter to the secretariat via registered post.

Padma Prasad Pandey, Secretary-General of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, informed that although the letter has been received, it cannot be registered as it has not followed the constitutional process. 'A request demanding impeachment has been received via registered post. However, since it is a letter without the constitutional process, it will not be registered,' Secretary-General Pandey told Ratopati.
