MP Thapa Condemns Violence Led by Public Representatives

Kathmandu. National Independent Party (NIP) MP Madhav Bahadur Thapa has objected to the violent incident carried out by public representatives themselves. In the House of Representatives meeting, he said that the incident of beating led by people's representatives has raised questions on the rule of law itself.

Informing about the incident with the workers in Palpa, MP Thapa said, 'Yesterday, in my district Palpa, while workers were gathered and talking for work, a group including Raju Shrestha, the ward chairman of Bhumikasthan Municipality-8, and Arjun Shrestha, beat them to a near-death state.'
