Kathmandu. Monsoon is still a week away from entering Nepal. According to Varun Poudel, senior meteorologist at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the monsoon has reached Kerala and Tamil Nadu in South India, and it will take a week to reach Nepal via the Bay of Bengal.
Meteorologist Poudel said, "It cannot be said with certainty that the monsoon will enter at this exact time. However, it is estimated that the monsoon will enter within about a week. The monsoon is expected to reach the Bay of Bengal in three to four days, after which it may arrive in Nepal around a week later, or a few days earlier or later." According to him, sometimes the monsoon becomes active early and enters quickly, and if it becomes active late, it arrives late.
