BP Koirala Health Sciences Institute Clarifies Death of 8-Year-Old Girl Due to Snakebite

Dharan. BP Koirala Health Sciences Institute, Dharan has given a clarification regarding the death of 8-year-old girl Ashwana Chauhan, a resident of Itahari-1, due to snakebite. According to the institute, the girl was brought to the institute's pediatric emergency room for treatment at 6:47 PM on Bhadra 24 after being bitten by a snake on her left hand.

The institute's statement mentioned that the patient's condition was found to be critical upon examination in the emergency room. Although the patient's heart rate was active and she was breathing on her own, she was in a semi-conscious state, unresponsive to calls, and her eyes were not tracking. Considering the patient's critical condition, the medical team immediately proceeded with emergency treatment procedures, the institute stated.
