National Independent Party Chief Whip Calls for End to Unjust Financial Burden on Citizens Due to Road Construction

Kathmandu. National Independent Party (NIP) Chief Whip Kabindra Burlaakoti has demanded an end to the unjust financial burden on citizens in the name of road construction across the country. In the House of Representatives meeting on Friday, he drew the government's attention to the issue of road standards and tax deductions.

Chief Whip Burlaakoti stated that citizens who donated land for roads constructed years ago are still compelled to pay land revenue for them, calling this astonishing and unjust. He said, "Roads have been built across the country, vehicles are plying on them, but the land revenue for those roads is still being paid by the citizens who donated the land years ago. What greater irony can there be?"
