Kathmandu. With the final matches of Group 'G' of the FIFA World Cup 2026 concluded, Belgium and Iran have secured their places in the final 32. Belgium defeated New Zealand 5-1, while Iran defeated Egypt 2-1 with a goal in injury time.

In the match held at BC Place in Vancouver, Canada, Belgium's Leandro Trossard scored two goals in the 28th and 50th minutes. Captain Kevin De Bruyne then added a goal in the 66th minute. New Zealand's Elijah Just scored a goal in the 84th minute, but two minutes later, Romelu Lukaku scored Belgium's fourth goal. In the fourth minute of injury time, Alexis Saelemaekers scored to ensure Belgium's spectacular 5-1 victory.
