Twin Stupas of Tilaurakot Await Preservation

Kapilvastu. The historic twin stupas of Tilaurakot, connected with the childhood and youth of Lord Gautam Buddha, who guided the world community through messages of peace, compassion, and non-violence, are awaiting preservation.

The stupas, archaeologically significant, are important pilgrimage sites for Buddhists and tourists worldwide, as Tilaurakot palace area is believed to be where Siddhartha Gautam spent 29 years of his life before attaining enlightenment.
