Pashupati Area Cleaned in Preparation for Haritalika (Teej)

Kathmandu. Cleaning has been carried out in various places in the Pashupati area in preparation for Haritalika (Teej). Cleaning was done in the main areas including 15 Shiva temples across the Bagmati in the Pashupati area, Mrigasthali, Kirateshwor, Gaurighat, Umakunda, Dakshinamurti, Bhuvaneshwari, in the presence of Pashupati Area Development Trust Member Secretary Tirtha Shrestha, Treasurer Meena Kumari Shrestha, Trust Governing Council members, employees, local residents, and devotees.

Disorganized structures in the area have also been organized. Debris was removed after monitoring the damage to a Shiva temple in the fifteen Shiva temple area caused by a fire that occurred on Friday night. Trust Governing Council member Kedarman Bhandari informed that the fire occurred because wood was used inside the stone-built Shiva temple and the occupants had kept clothes inside the walls.
