Rasuwa Flood Causes Historic Damage to Nepal's Hydropower Sector

Kathmandu. The flood in the Bhote Koshi river in Rasuwa has caused the biggest damage in the history of Nepal's hydropower and energy sector.

According to the 'Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment' report of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, the flood has caused physical damage worth NPR 151.445 billion (Rs. 15,104.45 crore or USD 997.13 million) in the hydropower sector alone.
